does a great job analyzing the current lousy state of affairs in central Canadian newspapers. Cuts at LaPresse and the National Post, wage roll-backs and a possible strike at the Globe, more cuts to Quebecor's already bled-white Ontario small town papers. It's all pretty grim.

It's one thing I do miss from France: good newspapers. Oh sure, I mean, we have crappy news too, it's not like everything is perfect. But when I see everybody reading the Sun in the bus, I feel sad, sad, sad...
